New size 98 planetary gearheads from Quality Transmission
Components feature smooth, quiet, lightweight, compact
helical gear drives. These rugged units, identified as the
QGH-98 Series offer a choice of 3 backlash specifications:
less than or equal to 15 arc min., less than or equal to 5
arc min., or less than or equal to 3 arc min. Offered with
single or double stages, their efficiency is 95% or 92%
respectively. The maximum input speed is 5100 rpm. The
housing is aluminum with gears and output shafts made from
4135 alloy steel. Available gear ratios range from 3:1 to
25:1. The single stage unit weighs 3.2 kg (7.0 lb.) whereas
the double stage unit weighs 3.9 kg (8.6 lb.).
