The Sonic Tension Meter works on the theory that belts, like strings, vibrate at a particular natural frequency based on mass and span length.  The meter  converts  this  frequency  into  a  measure- ment of tension. To test tension: 1.  Enter belt mass constant, belt width & span      length into meter. 2.  Hold meter to belt span, then strum belt to      make it vibrate.  The meter will measure the      vibration and convert into belt tension. Features: Output reading measurable in hertz, pounds,    kilograms and newtons. Frequency range from 10-5000 hertz. Variable frequency range filters. Auto gain control automatically adjusts meter    sensitivity. 20 memory registers for belt constants. 3 4 5 Optional Accessories Fig. Flexible Sensor: can be bent and repositioned for one-hand options Replacement Cord Sensor Inductive Sensor: use in high-noise or windy environments Replacement A/C Adapter: only available for former Model 305FD Model QBSONICSENS–FLEX QBSONICSENS–CORD QBSONICSENS–INDU QBSONIC–ACADAPT Catalog Number Fig. 5 Inductive Sensor Fig. 3 Flexible Sensor Fig. 4 Replacement Cord Sensor Sonic Tensioner Meters with Cord Sensor 1 2 Fig. Catalog Number 505C 507C Model *To be discontinued when present stock is depleted *QBSONIC TEST–01 QBSONIC TEST–03
